Hiring the Metro Radio Arena

The venue is highly flexible and can accommodate a wide range of activities including:

  • Concerts - To hire the venue for a Concert you would need to be registered with the Concert Promoters Association or be linked to a National experienced Production Company and be able to supply proof of Experience and Independent Financial Stability. Each event will be treat on its own merit.

Conferences & Exhibitions with Metro Radio Arena

Metro Radio Arena Newcastle is the biggest conference and exhibition venue in the North East of England. It has the largest floor area of any venue, and a huge uninterrupted roof span. A total floor area of 3960 square metres is available for hire. The external exhibition area of 36,000 square metres completes the available space, where outdoor pursuits such as live action motor sport displays have taken place, and even a world famous circus has staged events.

The Metro Radio Arena has played host to large trade exhibitions, public shows and corporate events, together with smaller specialist shows, where we can provide help, advice and support during the planning and execution. Flexibility is the key word, with many possibilities for various types and sizes of exhibitions. Extensive areas of flat floor are available with direct access into the halls for the largest of vehicles. All engineering services are available on-site.

The venue is also ideal for conferences and special meetings, from 250 up to 10,000 within the auditorium, depending on other support services required. We also have two comfortable Corporate Lounges which can cater for up to 100 people each for special meeting and occasions.

We have played host to a number of large high profile meetings and conferences over the years staged by both regional and multi-national organisations, ranging from a BT AGM to special meetings for Northern Rock.

There are 650 car parking spaces within the 40,000 sq metre site, and further adjacent parking facilities are available.

Our team of professional and highly experienced conference, exhibition and event organisers can assist with every aspect of event planning and management, whether it is stand construction, layout and logistics, press and publicity, accommodation, or tailored catering services.

The Metro Radio Arena is near the centre of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne, with the airport 5 miles away, the A1 only 2 minutes, and the mainline train station within 1/4 mile.
