Boyzone announce a 10 date arena tour of the UK. The Better 09 Tour will see one the UK's best ever selling bands perform in what is destined to be one of the phenomenal events on next year's live calendar.
Boyzone are proud to announce that the incredibly talented X-Factor star Eoghan Quigg will be supporting their "Better 09" tour. Boyzone and Eoghan met on X Factor creating a great rapport and respect for each other they now bring to their highly anticipated Arena shows. Eoghan's sheer passion for music and amazing voice will add even more talent and Irish charm to an already fantastic tour!
This tour will see all five original members - Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy perform together at The Metro Radio Arena for the second time since their much anticipated reunion last year.
Formed in 1994, Boyzone achieved the best-ever start to an Irish and UK singles career with 16 consecutive Top 5 hits. Having scored 6 UK Number 1 singles, plus 4 Number 1 albums their total album sales tally exceeds 15 million, making them one of the Ireland's best-selling bands.
Together, the new songs show that, while their recent tour might have brought back great memories, Boyzone are very much a band of the future. Refreshed, reinvigorated and as passionate about working together as they have ever been, the five are having the time of their lives all over again and hope that this is just the beginning for them.
"Whatever happens," Ronan concludes, "I think the best thing about all this is that we haven't just got the band back, we've got our friends back. It's a new age for us now. If this album goes well, there's every chance there could be more, but we have to wait and see what happens."
Paul Tappenden Marketing Director for the venue said "We are delighted to have Boyzone back in the North East, as will be their hugely dedicated fan base here in Newcastle. If the last tour is anything to go by this will certainly be a hot ticket for 2009"
