RETURNS TO NORTH EAST
Bryan Adams, one of Canada’s best known and busiest singer song writers is set to return to the Metro Radio Arena on Saturday 23rd October 2004.
In a career spanning over 20 years Bryan has enjoyed major success on three levels, a songwriter who has written hits for other artists, as a recording artist whose own work has met huge International acclaim and as a captivating live performer whose memorable appearance at Live Aid helped to cement his status as an international superstar.
He has produced a series of platinum selling albums and released a multitude of hit singles including ‘Cuts like a Knife’, ‘Summer of ‘69’, ‘Run to You’ and the 1991 hit 'Everything I Do (I Do It For You)' which spent 16 weeks at the top of the UK singles charts and was the biggest selling single in the history of A&M Records.
Over the years Bryan has teamed up with the likes of ex Spice Girl Mel C for the single ‘When You're Gone’, Tina Turner for ‘Its Only Love’ and Barbra Streisand with ‘I Finally Found Someone’, for the film 'The Mirror Has Two Faces'. Other movie soundtracks have included a collaboration between Bryan, Sting and Rod Stewart for the #1 single 'All For Love' for 'The Three Musketeers' film and ‘Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?,’ taken from the Don Juan DeMarco soundtrack.
Metro Radio Arena's Marketing Director Paul Tappenden said: "We are delighted to welcome Bryan Adams back to the Metro Radio Arena once again. Judging by his previous appearances, tickets for this show look set to sell extremely quickly so we would advise patrons to book as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment”.
